Julie Bennett, Manager
Julie, a manager in the Firm's Audit and Assurance services, has years in accounting between the public and private sector. She graduated with honors from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, then continued her studies and received her BBA from Valdosta State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has eleven years accounting experience between the public and private sector.
Kim Benson, Firm Administrator
Kim started her higher education at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College,
where she received an Associate in Business degree, and then earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Georgia in Athens. After becoming a CPA, Kim went on to obtain a Business Education Certification from Valdosta State University.
Her accounting career has included positions with Deloitte Touche in Atlanta, as well as other Tifton-based companies in the utilities, construction, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. She is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and is certified in Six Sigma Green Belt, a critical business tool that incorporates process improvement and statistical analysis methodology.
Rock Bledsoe, Manager
Rock joined BPC in August of 2006 bringing 17 years of accounting experience with him. While Rock's main focus with BPC is tax, he also provides healthcare and computer consulting. Rock earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master's in accounting with major focus on taxation from the University of Georgia. His first professional accounting position was with Ernst & Whinney (which became Ernst & Young) in Atlanta.
Rock has worked for other CPA firms in Columbus, Valdosta, and his hometown of Moultrie. Rock is certified as a CPA in both Georgia and Florida, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia society of CPAs, and the CPAmerica Network..
GINGER GANAS
Ginger is BP&C's senior bookkeeper. From Valdosta, Georgia, she has worked in the public accounting field for 24 years, joining BP&C in 1986. A Certified QuickBooks Consultant, Ginger assists many of the firm's clients in the areas of general ledger bookkeeping, payroll, and payroll tax issues.
AMY HIGHTOWER, CPA
Amy graduated magna cum laude with a BBA from Valdosta State University and a year later, earned her Master of Accountancy from VSU. Amy joined BP&C in January of 2000 and specializes in agricultural-related areas, as well as individual and business tax services, financial projections, commercial financing, and CFO services. Amy is from Rebecca, Georgia. She holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the CPAmerica Network.
KYLE HOWELL, CPA
Kyle joined BP&C in 1997 and currently serves as manager of our audit and review team. He travels to client sites to conduct audits and reviews, and also consults with banks on loan packages. A native of Tifton, Georgia, Kyle majored in accounting and earned a BBA from Valdosta State University. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs, the CPAmerica Network and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
